#AmericanDayofReflection instead of Columbus Day

As an Adult Columbus Day is a rather odd Holiday.

We celebrate a man whom never step foot in America, who was a bad dude and killed lots of people and took their stuff. Then he convinced most of the Europe countries' peasant class that America was better than the shithole the poor and repressed where living in. Those people, thru lots of blood, sweat, and tears built something never seen before in history and did help shape the world to be a better place.

Fast Forward a few centuries, and Now Avg Americans are complaining about violent people wanting to move out of their current shithole to come to America so they can be given stuff from the people whom are living here and working here. (Taxes aren't free money, it's your money the government steals from you.) But, also not that much different than the Columbus Migration.

I guess my question is, are these people going to make something even better? Or was early American just a magical rare event?

Do we fight to keep our unique Western Culture with it's radically different approach to support diversity?

(Another very unique Western Trait) If you honestly look at most other world cultures diversity is not a valued asset, nor was it throughout the history of time.

A lot to think about, maybe today should be #AmericanDayofReflection
